What is the least number of clicks needed to change the left pattern into the right pattern? Note that you may rotate the right pattern by multiples of 90 degrees if this helps you decrease the number of clicks needed. What tiles would you click on? (Scroll down for a second problem.)
Thoth Maneuver: Here is a second killer problem. It tests your powers of visualization. You are not to click on tiles, but only try to visualize this in your mind. I start with an all-red board. Next, I click on the four corner tiles in the 7x7 board. I next click on the center square twice. How may red tiles do you "see" in your mind? How many different colors exist on the board? Do you think age and gender affect the ability to do this visualization problem? Do you think a seven year old could ever do this visualization?
